Olga Pinjung is an MA student of American Studies at the University of Szeged, Hungary. Her research interests are American literature, culture, and history. In 2021, she was awarded second prize at the National Scientific Students’ Associations Conference for her research on guerrilla warfare during the American Civil War. She participated in the GUSEGG 2021 Summer School where she immersed herself in memoirs written by former Guantánamo detainees. At the same time, she has been working as an English teacher for 10 years.
