Ranjiet is a pun his family name, Ranjeet Singh. This is the way he attempts to reinvent himself. He writes poetry in English, Hindi and Punjabi. When not working, he pretends to be Jack Kerouac on the road. He also curates a poetry page on Instagram: indianpoetry00

What was your favorite book as a child?

A collection of Punjabi short stories.

What was the original reason or motivation why you started writing creatively?

The easiest way of entertaining myself. And the realisation that I could express myself in few words.

What was the most adventurous or thrilling thing you ever did/experienced?

There is nothing like most adventurous. Every adventure is intense in its moment. One is replaced by another. It's more like a chain of thrills that make your life exciting.

Do you listen to music while reading or writing?

I listen to instrumemtal music since it's a free play of meanings unlike words that distract you with their structured associations.
