Yvonnie S. Kunkeyani is a creative writer from Malawi whose work explores memory and a yearning for living through human experience. She writes and performs poetry and works as a photographer under the name JustSam. Her feature articles and creative writing have appeared in online literary publications, and three of her poems were published in the Best New African Poets 2025 anthology. Her recent work, "Spilling Images", appears in the 2026 edition of PTSD: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. She is currently developing her craft in hybrid and flash fiction, leads a group of creatives, and writes about art and its artists because she believes art is our attempt to be anything but mediocre.
