Q&A

What was your favorite book as a child?

I wish I could answer this question, but I do not remember if I had a favorite book when I was a child.

What was the original reason or motivation why you started writing creatively?

I started writing creatively during my undergraduate degree in an effort to articulate to people that do not have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, OCD, what it is like to live with this disorder and the struggle that it brings to living a full life.

What was the most adventurous or thrilling thing you ever did/experienced?

The most adventurous thing so far in my life has been going abroad for the first time and on my own to London. I was presenting for the first time at a conference about the library profession, so I was nervous but excited about going to London.

Do you listen to music while reading or writing?

I listen to music when I write poetry and work on my fiction writing. Music helps to get into the space of creative storytelling and allows me to focus on writing and not on other things that I may need to do later in the day.
