Q&A

What was your favorite book as a child?

I loved anything fantasy as a child! But Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia have my heart! Fun fact: in primary school I read The Chronicles of Narnia so many times and carried the book around so often that my teacher became concerned and called my mother about my love for the book!

What was the original reason or motivation why you started writing creatively?

I do not remember not writing. I was making up stories before I could even write! I love living in my head, I love being able to create things that encapsulate moments of my life with such vivid colours and words. And most of all, I love it when my mum reads what I write, so I would kinda say that I write for her!

What was the most adventurous or thrilling thing you ever did/experienced?

Me and my best friend Emilie tried to find the Loch Ness monster a couple of years ago, and I have been going to Invernes-shire regularly since. We really did want to find Nessie, but we ended up trespassing property illegally, getting lost in the woods, and almost capsizing a boat. We didn’t find the monster, but we both believe we eventually will.

Do you listen to music while reading or writing?

I do and I love making playlists that somehow feel like what I am writing. If I am writing nonfiction, I try to listen to songs I used to listen to whenever I was experiencing the moments I am writing about. That helps me feel the memory in a more concrete way!
