Tint Journal celebrates the release of issue no. 15, Spring ’26, on March 10, 2026!
Our spring issue in 2026 includes 24 new poems, short stories and nonfiction essays by writers who state 23 different locales as their bases on this Earth, and who grew up speaking 17 different first languages.
The texts were curated based on an un-themed open call, and depict a variety of topics, voiced through the critical lens of second-language writers. Shaped by the writers' sensitivity when it comes to language and space, the stories and poems will pull you into their imagined and actual fates. They ask a plentitude of questions, such as: How do we connect with ourselves, our families and close ones, and our many co-dwellers on this planet? How do we see things in perspective? How do we age, how do we perform, how do we cry and laugh despite and amidst it all? We wish you a deep dive into these and the many more themes that you will discover for yourselves when browsing Tint Spring '26.
Each text is accompanied with an original visual artwork by an international artist and a brief Q&A with the writer. Many of the pieces have also been audio-recorded by the writers themselves, providing you with an additional audible experience (look out for the speaker icon 🔈 and purchase the full-length recordings here).
Find all texts online and for free at www.tintjournal.com. A symbolic purchase of this issue can be made through a donation of any amount on the crowdfunding platform Ko-fi. We thank you for showing your support, especially in times of crises for independent arts and cultural practices!
