Q&A

What was your favorite book as a child?

Mio, mein Mio from Astrid Lindgren. I could relate to Mio from being the odd one out and it was the first time literature made me emotional.

What was the original reason or motivation why you started writing creatively?

I tried to find the right words where they were lacking especially regarding my heritage. I wanted to understand the emotions I have and to kind of organize all those feelings I have in my head and to find answers through reflecting my emotions.

What was the most adventurous or thrilling thing you ever did/experienced?

Seeing Dua Lipa live before she got famous in a small venue and her waving directly at us.

Do you listen to music while reading or writing?

While reading no, I want to concentrate on the book. I love dancing, therefore music makes me want to dance and I can't concentrate on the book.

While writing it depends on the music and the topic I’m writing about. The Albanian music from the generation of my parents answers many questions I have in my head about the Zeitgeist they lived in. So it inspires me to find the correct words I’m looking for.
