What was your favorite book as a child?

To be honest, I did not have access to many books in my childhood. But the first book I ever received in my life was an early-reader children’s book published by Ladybird Books. It was titled Happy Family. I would consider it my favourite book as a child.

What was the original reason or motivation why you started writing creatively?

I think I was very fortunate to grow up with my very creative elder sibling. In her company, I learnt to channelise my weird and wonderful thoughts into stories that allowed me both expression of and escape from the gruesomeness of my childhood!

What was the most adventurous or thrilling thing you ever did/experienced?

Probably quitting my full-time job last year along with a few more closures in life, to then open it up for everything that brings meaning and joy.

Do you listen to music while reading or writing? Why/why not?

Sometimes I do, and sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I do until I find myself half-writing and half-dancing to the tunes of Bollywood.
