Q&A

What was your favorite book as a child?

My favorite book as a child was “The Dwarves” by Markus Heitz. To date this is one of the most compelling fantasy books I’ve ever read.

What was the most adventurous or thrilling thing you ever did/experienced?

This might sound rather odd but I would say that the most adventurous thing I’ve experienced so far was my semester abroad at the Hendrix College in Arkansas, US. Being so far from home and immersed in a different culture influenced me considerably. That semester changed my outlook on many things and it helped me rediscover my passion for literature and creative writing.

Do you listen to music while reading or writing?

I almost always listen to music when I write as it tends to be one of my major sources of inspiration. Most of the time, I write to ambient electronic mixes or soundtrack music but sometimes I can only get in the right mood for a story if I listen to some classical pieces or technical/progressive death metal tracks. It all depends on the demands of the imagery in my head.
