Q&A

What was your favorite book as a child?

My favorite book growing up was the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I was captivated by the magical world, memorable characters, and universal themes. The series sparked my imagination, fueled my love for fantasy, and instilled a deep appreciation for storytelling.

Do you remember the original reason or motivation why you started writing creatively?

I started writing creatively as a way to express myself and escape into my own world. Growing up, I struggled to find my voice and assert my identity. Writing became an outlet for me to process my emotions, explore my thoughts, and tap into my imagination. Over time, it evolved into a passion that allows me to connect with others and share my unique perspective.

What was the most adventurous or thrilling thing you ever did/experienced?

One of the most exciting experiences I've had was going on a creative writing tour around my school. We explored the school's surroundings, visiting a nearby village, the school dam, and forest. The goal was to see how our environment could inspire our writing. As someone with disabilities, navigating certain areas was a challenge. I had to rely on my colleagues for support, and we had to get creative with finding accessible routes. Despite the obstacles, the experience was exhilarating. Being immersed in nature and exploring new places sparked a surge of creativity, and I was able to tap into my surroundings in a way that felt truly authentic.

Do you listen to music while reading or writing?

I don't listen to music while reading or writing. However, music is a big source of inspiration for me. I enjoy listening to music in my free time, and it often helps me come up with new ideas and get into a creative mindset.
